On starting yet another year...
A short piece to stoke the fires of excellence that dwell within
What will the year of 2025 be for you?
Will you remain rigid in your ideas, beliefs and habits?
Or, will you melt away your unskilful aspects and regain your fluidity, responsiveness and resilience?
Will you hold onto old ways of living that aren’t moving the needle towards your ideal existence?
Or, will you turn up the heat, leap forward into the furnace of initiation, and embrace what life wants of you?
At the core of this conversation there is only one option…
Your path. Your life. Your way.
It often seems like there are two options;
Option 1 = Stay rigid, stay uptight, don’t change, close the heart and resist life.
Option 2 = Be in alignment, be brave, follow the whispers of intuition and live an inspiring life.
The truth is, both options are a part of your path, your life and your way.
The reality is option 2. This is what life looks like when we live from our essence. When we move in harmony with our true nature the evolution is a graceful and natural unfolding of growth (which of course includes some gristle).
In the day-to-day of life, this looks like handling a conflict with your beloved where you stay on the same side. Yes you see the coin from different sides, yes you're both triggered, and still you meet the moment as team mates.
Yet more often than not we seem to live in option 1. This is when the ego overlays our natural evolution with a story of pettiness, victimhood and suffering. This is when we resist the maturation process inbuilt into life, designed to make us blossom, and we cling to old identities, habits and beliefs.
In the day-to-day of life, this looks like your partner becoming enemy number one due to a disagreement. Then we weaponise anger, blame and judgement. No one wins, especially not the relationship.
But, underneath the dramatic illusion is the stable reality that life is organising and orchestrating our growth.
And whether we like it or not, and no matter what the ego overlays onto the reality, our evolution is going to happen.
The difference between those who seem ‘successful’ and those who seem to ’suffer’ is this…
One group embrace the unknown and the other group cling to the known.
So here we have the important question;
Which group will you be in this year?
Are you going to embrace your evolution OR you going to get dragged along kicking and screaming?
Both paths lead to the same destination and Spirit/God/Allah/Wankatanka loves both groups just the same.
Yet I know which path I prefer to walk and I know where to start… now.
How about you?
